BIOGRAPHY

Hi I'm Matt Williams owner of AdventuresInAudio.co.uk. I have over 20 years experience as a live and recording studio Sound Engineer. Predominantly I have worked as a Monitor Engineer (mixing the sound on stage) for major artistes including James Arthur, Bellowhead, Suzi Quattro and Shakin Stevens.

Most Sound Technicians will agree that the Monitor Engineer's job is the most demanding and difficult part of live sound engineering. It requires excellent ears, mixing skills and great communication to put multiple complex mixes together to keep every band member happy. Many Sound Engineers refuse to mix monitors because it is so tough.

Throughout my years of touring I have learnt that communication with an artiste is very important. Every performer has a creative vision that they are trying to achieve, and I believe it is best to work together, whether it is live or in the studio, to get that vision across to the audience.

I have had the good fortune to travel all over the world and work in some great places. Some of the highlights have been Wembley Arena, the O2 Berlin, Pyramid Stage Glastonbury, Reading Festival, Benacassim Festival Spain, Roskilde Festival Denmark. I have toured Europe, Australia, New Zealand and gigged in Nigeria, China and Russia. This has led me to work with an amazing array of artistes and organisations including:
